It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Founder, Dr. Helen Feuer, who passed away recently at her home in New York City.
Helen was a pioneer in the NCLEX review industry. She established a high quality immersive learning program in the 1970s which has set the bar quite high for those who followed her lead. Dr. Feuer’s classes were typically filled to capacity with hundreds of aspiring nurses looking to pass the NCLEX. Helen Feuer grew up in a lower middle class family in Brooklyn, New York. She Graduated from a diploma program, worked her way through an associate degree, BSN, Master’s degree, and PhD degree in Nursing all while raising two children.
The Feuer Nursing Review started as questions written on a kitchen table, while her young children were asleep. It has grown to become a leading and inspiring platform for students to study and pass the NCLEX exam. Dr. Feuer had a particular admiration for internationally educated nurses, many of whom found that Dr. Feuer’s methodology has allowed them to pass the exam.
Dr. Feuer is survived by her son, daughter and her three beloved grandchildren.
Service will be held on 1/6/16 at 4pm at Riverside Chapel – Amsterdam Ave @ 76th Street.
